The Confederate Alamo: Bloodbath at Petersburg's Fort Gregg on April 2, 1865

by John J. Fox, III

This epic fight has been overshadowed for too long by all the other historic events of April 1865. Come follow the heroic soldiers, both Blue & Gray, as they wrestle with each other along the earthen parapets of Fort Gregg. The name of Appomattox Court House would never have made it into the history books if these 300 Confederates had not made their bloody last stand at Fort Gregg.  Many battle-scarred veterans from both sides described this clash as the nastiest of their four-year war experience. Numerous photos and maps will be included in this quality hardback.
